Ayisha Ida Baffoe-Ashun is a lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. She holds a PhD in Architecture and a Master of Architecture degree from KNUST, Ghana. She is currently a Lecturer and the Assistant Departmental Examinations Officer at the Department of Architecture, KNUST, Kumasi. She teaches in the areas of Architectural History and Theory, Settlement Planning and Design, and Advanced Research Methods. Her research interests are in the areas of Urban Green Infrastructure and Architecture History and Theory, which she has authored and co-authored a number of journal articles and conference papers. Her research exploits have given her various awards such as Best Presenter Award at ICIDA Conference - KNUST (2018) and an Erasmus+ Scholarship to the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences – Germany in 2018. At the University of Michigan, Ayisha will be conducting research on the dynamics of residential green infrastructure distribution in Ghana, with particular emphasis on the impact of colonial residential segregation on its spatial distribution in major cities in Ghana.
